Windshield Damage
When a road pebble or rock strikes a windshield, it chips the outer glass layer, creating a chip or small crack. The chipped glass particles become surrounded by tiny air pockets, causing visual distortion. These stone chips and small cracks happen all the time. Vehicles moving quickly, slowly, or even standing still can suffer this minor windshield damage.
All stone chip damage is different
No two stone chips are identical. They may look alike, but they’re different in many ways. Some are as small as a penny, others can be as large as a half dollar. And they come in many different shapes too.
The principle of windshield repair
This patented design evacuates the air to fill the cavities with a specially formulated liquid resin which when cured with ultra-violet light clears the distortion and bonds the loose glass preventing the damage from spreading.
